Q. What are Pixie Gifts?

A. Pixie Gifts appear as a red exclamation mark next to your avatar in the upper-left corner of your screen. If you see it, be sure to click on the red exclamation mark as it will give you 500 Gold or 2 Silver! If you miss a random event, however, it will re-appear as a yellow exclamation mark 24 hours after the initial Pixie Gift, and 48 hours after the initial Pixie Gift, it will be automatically granted to you. Sometimes you will have a missed Pixie Gift even though you weren't logged in the day before. This happens because you can sometimes receive an » Offline Pixie Gift.

Pixie Gifts are connected to your account, so if someone else uses your computer to log in to Varus Online with their account just to steal your Pixie Gift, it won't work. They'll end up granting the gift to you! Also, if you have to run away and your login expires before you come back and you see that you have a Pixie Gift, click it anyway. You do not need to be logged in to use your Pixie Gift.

Q. I don't see my name in the birthday list but it has been my birthday for x hours and y minutes already!
A. The birthday list goes by server time. The Varus Online server is UTC. If you find your name not showing on the birthday list, it might be because the server hasn't gone past midnight yet. Give it a few hours.

Q. I want to create a » Group like the Varus Online Role Play Group. How do I do this?
A. You can't. At the moment, the only available groups are those that are created by Lady Serena.

Q. How do I get my name down the side of my avatar/ What does that mean?
A. The name down the side of the avatar is a feature designed for the "Original Members" group. Only people who joined Varus online before Jan. 1st 2006 were awarded this stats. It is non-transferable, and not advailiable to members who joined after that date.

Q. I set my e-mail to be hidden, but when I go to my profile it still shows up!
A. Every member can view their own contact information on their own profile, even if it is set to be hidden. If annother member views the profile, they will not see this hidden info.

Q. Why can't I make a poll in the Spamcan forum?
A. Previously, the Spamcan forum was pruned daily. This means that topics that were idle for 24 hours were deleted. Topics will polls were not deleted, so it was set up to not let normal members make polls in that forum so that there would not be a problem with the pruning. Pruning has since been disabled, however, members still can not make polls in that forum. Moderators, Administrators, and the Board Founder retained the ability to make polls.

Q. Do you get money for voting in a poll?
A. Yes, but its not Gold, Silver, or King's Silver. Instead, you get Skill Points every time you vote in a poll.

Q. Do you get money for loading pages?
A. No. We tried this at one point, however we found that people were abusing it which slowed down the site and so it was removed.

Q. Where/How do I set up my defult BBcode?
A. Go to your profile and pick the "profile" tab. Next in the list of links on the left side of the page, click on "Profile Settings". Next click the link that says "� Posting". Enter the BBcode you want to use in the box and press "submit".

Q. How do I change the view options for quotes?
A. In your profile you can set it so that quotes are either collapsed or open by defult. To change this go to your profile and pick the "profile" tab. Next in the list of links on the left side of the page, click on "Profile Settings". Next click the link that says "� Reading ". To Show all quotes as open, pick "Show All". To show all quotes as collapsed pick "Hide All". Picking "Auto" will cause you to see the defult view.

Edit by Lady Serena: Selecting "Auto" here means the quotes are collapsed for posts that are marked as having been read, and open for posts marked as new.
