Varus Online :: The Lords of Varus Offer Wisdom

These tips are displayed along the bottom of every page, and are included here for your convenience. Many of them are reminders of some of the features of Varus Online, while others may tell you how certain features may work.

You can have up to five accounts all using the same email address. Account ownership is determined by email address, so make sure all your accounts use the same email address.

An item can be owned by another person. When you hover your mouse cursor over an item, the tooltip will tell you who owns it. You cannot trade an item that does not belong to you.

Varus Online supports Item Locking. When you equip an item, or add an item to a trade, it becomes locked. Locked items cannot be equipped or added to a trade. Unequipping or removing an item from a trade will unlock it.

The MyGear Item Management System uses item slots and subsets to determine what items go where on your avatar. This can be seen in Dressing. The "avi" subset contains 29 slots, while the "bod" subset contains 28 slots. You can equip up to 100 items per slot. That's up to 5,700 items you can equip at once. The "Miscellaneous" avatar slot has no equip limits.

When you add items to a trade, you have the option of charging for them. However, you can also use the special "Money Transfer" item to give money away. If the Money Transfer item equals the sum of all your charged items, the balance will negate itself to zero. You will only pay the Trading Fee.

Items can go both ways during a trade. So can their charges. The billing screen shows you how much you will receive or owe when the trade is completed. Numbers in green show what you will receive, while numbers in red show what you will end up paying. Zeros are always black.

The option of charging for items during a trade is called "Charge On Delivery." Every time the trade comes back to you, you have the option of adjusting your charges.

The trading system does not have a limit to how many items can be traded at once.

In your profile settings (Posting), you can set the "Default BBCode." This is the text or BBCode that will automatically be put in your posts for you. No more Copying and Pasting your favorite text styles!
