The new [ item ] BBCode is designed to be easy to use, and the panels it places in your posts is always current with the trading information the system uses. It can be aligned left or right, and it can even show quantities of items. [ item=left ] will left align, while [ item=right ] will right-align. The item identifier is in the middle of the tag, and consists of three letters, a dash, and a number. The letters are the item subset, the number is the Item ID for that subset. Optionally, you can add "x3" to make the panel show that you have three of the item displayed. [ item=right ]avi-2362x5[ /item ] will align the panel to the right side of your post, and show "( x5 )" after the item name, and the estimated value for all five, as opposed to just one.

You can turn the wooden censors on avatars off by using the "Nude Enable" feature. It is located in your Profile, under the Profile tab, Profile Settings panel, » Reading section. There are three settings to choose from. Disable will allow censors, Enable will remove all censors, and Selective will only remove the censors from avatars that are using Nude Enable. Network administrators can turn Nude Enable off regardless of profile settings, by adding '&nude-off' to the end of our avatar URLs in their firewalls.

The new Live Clock on Varus Online exists only in the site navigation bar. It updates every ten seconds and shows you the time based on the server's clock. If you leave a page with the navigation bar open, it will automatically refresh every 20 minues. This will keep you logged in as long as you have one of these pages open, and can be useful for keeping yourself logged in while making a really long post. Since the site navigation bar isn't on the posting page, the posting page won't automatically refresh.

Be wary - if you don't plan on using Varus Online for a while, be sure to close the tab or the window. The clock will stop running and will be unable to keep you logged in when you close the tab or the browser window Varus Online is open in.

Any time you do something in Dressing 2.0, you have to wait for the panels to load. While you are waiting, the text "Please Wait" appears in the top-right corner of the Dressing window (directly to the right of the Subset and View menus). This wait indicator also shows up when you click the Save Avatar, Undo Changes, and Undress buttons. When the wait indicator goes away, any action you selected from one of these buttons is done, even if the panels didn't appear to update, as is the case with the Save Avatar button.

You can now see how much your Luggage is worth by viewing your Luggage page. The sum of the Estimated Value of all your items is displayed at the bottom. You don't have to use any third-party utilities.

If you see an avatar with items you like and want to get, but you don't know what those items are, you can click on that Member's avatar (or their profile button and then click the "Equipped" sub-tab) to see what they have on. The item thumbnails here work just as they do in the forums and in your own inventory.

The Welcome Bar is the bar that shows your Member Name, money count, and the clock. There are two options available that change how it is displayed to you. The default option is "Sticky" which makes it always appear at the top of your browser window, the "On Page" option places it under the header where it stays and can be scrolled off the screen. The options for the Welcome Bar are located in your Profile, under the Profile tab, Profile Settings panel, » Reading section.

Setting your time zone correctly is an important step in setting up your profile. Having an incorrect time zone setting will cause the Live Clock, and posting times to appear incorrect. This is especially important for events, since they start and end at midnight based on your time zone. This can make events start or end at the wrong time.

The easiest way to know if your time zone setting on Varus Online is correct or incorrect, is to compare the Live Clock with your computer's clock. They should be within a few seconds of each other. If they are hours apart (or if the Live Clock is showing the wrong date), you need to update your time zone setting. You can do this in your profile, under » Profile -> Profile Settings. Use the UTC selector to set your time zone, and the radio buttons to set Daylight Savings.

Your time zone selector does not change whether you are in Daylight Savings or not, it remains the same (unless you move to a new location). For example, if your time zone is US East, you should select UTC - 5, and set Daylight Savings to Yes.
